Props

Props
Anyone?

Without question, one of the most involving positions on a production staff is the Props Coordinator. The need for props is on going and includes finding suitable substitute props for rehearsals, finding set dressings and most important, final props to be used in the show.

It takes considerable concentration to keep up with the changes to the prop list as the show develops, with keeping the props in their place during the show, with repairing or replacing broken props and remembering where you may have seen one of those before.

All and all, it is possible to do a show without props, but then it should probably be done in the dark, or at least on the radio.
