M is for the Million
 by Jack Sharkey

Directed by Travis Carpenter

Performances: February 10, 11, 12, 17 & 18, 2012

Synopsis: Lenore has been living high on the income from her daughter's million dollar trust, but if Meg marries before her 25th birthday she gets the trust and Lenore will be penniless. The wedding is scheduled aboard a Mediterranean bound steamship. Complications abound as Lenore tries to stall the marriage, Meg's secret identity and additional fiancés surface, a commercial spy intrudes, and a love mad Athenian is ready to marry mother or daughter. Love potions, a ship that can't decide where it's headed and other zany twists make this madhouse of activity great fun!

We will be casting 7 men (3 mid-twenties, 2 mid-forties, 2 50+), 5 women (3 mid-twenties & 2 mid-forties+) and up to 6 “wild card” roles to serve the Cabin Boy roles (any age or gender for these roles). You do not need to come with anything prepared/memorized. You only need to attend one of the audition nights. No prior acting experience necessary. For more information on our audition process, visit our website, www.merelyplayers.com.

We will also be recruiting volunteers for this show to work behind the scenes in set construction, costumes, props, and lights/sound. If you are interested in being a part of the backstage crew, please email player@merelyplayers.com or call Noelle Lawton at 507-388-5483.
